Our Music & Movement Programme is designed for children aged 18 months–4 years, an age range where music is best learned through singing, movement, and listening.
Led by specialist music educators, the programme develops rhythm, pitch, coordination and musical memory, laying the foundations for a smooth and confident transition into 1-1 instrumental lessons when children are developmentally ready to benefit most from those classes.

-
Lessons are conducted weekly, except on public holidays.
Each term includes 1–2 weeks of scheduled break, depending on the school calendar.
Regardless of these breaks, a full 10 lessons will be completed each term. -
We understand that your child may occasionally be unwell or unable to attend class. To support this, we offer some flexibility while keeping classes consistent for all families:
Up to 2 missed lessons per term may be rescheduled.
Make-up lessons are offered only on fixed alternative class dates* and are subject to availability.
If a make-up class cannot be attended, the missed lesson may be converted to a credit rolled over to the following term.
Credits must be used within the next term and cannot be carried forward beyond that.
To ensure a stable learning environment, missed lessons are not refundable.
*Make-up Class Dates
If your child misses a lesson, we will do our best to arrange a make-up in another class of the same age group, if space permits.
Make-up lessons may also be scheduled during the designated make-up week, usually towards the end of the 10-lesson term. -
We are a ‘one-stop’ music school that supports children from early childhood through to instrumental learning, so families do not need to seek separate schools as their child progresses towards learning piano or violin.
Most early childhood programmes focus on broad, play-based exposure to music. At Classical Cats, we take this one step further by intentionally building musical foundations through play.
Our programme is thoughtfully designed to bridge early childhood music exploration and instrumental music learning as our curriculum is designed by educators trained in both early childhood pedagogy and instrumental teaching.
This ensures that lessons are not only developmentally appropriate, but also musically purposeful which will help build a smooth transition for children looking to start 1-1 instrument lessons after the programme. -
Each child can be accompanied by one parent only to maintain an even parent-child ratio in the studio.
